Sentech Ancillary Refrigerant Monitors are advanced multi-point refrigerant detection systems designed for highly reliable performance. They have the flexibility to satisfy a wide range of continuous monitoring applications. Sentech refrigerant monitors offer a choice of 1, 4, 8, or 16 zone detection point capability from a single field-programmable self-contained metal enclosure. These Refrigerant monitors utilize NDIR (Non-dispersive infrared) and pyro-electric (absorptive sensing) technolog. Each zone (detection location) is capable of monitoring and responding to any one of 22 refrigerants from a standard library via keypad entry. Sentech Ancillary Refrigerant Monitors are also expandable, offering users the flexibility to change configurations or applications at a later date.

  • Three relays, each w/ four (4) Form C Contact Outputs rated at 5 amps (for alarms and fan relay activation).

The 4-20 Ma Analog Output option can be utilized to interface the monitor to control devices such as the building maintenance computer system. It gives readings to the system in PPM levels, 4 milliamps output level is equal to 0 PPM and 20 milliamps level being equal to 1000 PPM level. This unit can be used to document any change in atmospheric content of refrigerant gas over extended periods of time through the building maintenance computer. It also gives readings of area gas content prior to entering the contaminated area in case of leak.

The Individual Zone Outpt  option is utilized as a control device reporting through relay contacts, both normally open and normally closed, the area which has entered the main alarm state. It can be used as an interface to the building maintenance computer to report which area is in alarm. It can also be used as a control circuit for exhaust fan operation, paging devise initialization; audio or visual alarm operation along with a multiple of other interface operations. It is utilized on multiple zone units only.

Theyare cost effective, self-contained monitors of refrigerant gases that activate an alarm at a preset concentration. The Series includes single, four and eight zone models (16 zones special order). SenTech’s unique built in leak wait period also minimizes nuisance false alarms.

SenTech Ancillary refrigerant monitors IR-SNIF-MCD provide compliance with ASHRAE Standard 15. These systems are based on an advanced infrared technology that can detect multiple refrigerant types at concentration levels as low as one part per million (PPM).
